A true story exactly how it happened

In 1956, when I was seventeen years old, I had a good friend, Jon Bloom.
Like many of my friends, In 1957 Jon told me he was getting married.
After he was married, I did get to visit Jon once, but it was the same as it was with my other friends, once they got married, their wives weren’t exactly happy to see any of their unmarried friends show up.
Especially friends that were involved in street racing.
As the years flew past, I went in the Army,  got married, moved to Florida, got divorced, and got married again.
But all those years, I always wondered what ever had happened to my good friend Jon.
So, whenever I had a free moment, I would Google his name, but I was never really sure of the correct spelling, nor was I sure if his last name  was simply Bloom.
Over the years, I sent out quite a few emails, but none of the people were my friend Jon.
I even went to Pratt and Whitney, where Jon worked, and they still had a Jon Bloom working there, he replied to me, but he wasn’t my Jon Bloom.
Whenever my wife had a moment, she also searched for Jon.
But it appeared that my friend Jon Bloom was possibly “Living off the Grid” and I wasn’t going to easily find him.
One day there was a message on my wife’s I phone, it was on Facebook messenger.
The inquiry was from a lady named Helene, in Canada,  and she wanted to know if I remembered her.
Helene said that years ago, she had breakfast at my house, and she was there with Jon Bloom.
I immediately called her, and I asked her if she knew what happened to my friend Jon, I told her I have been looking for him for 55 years.
She said, she had gone out with Jon several times and they had remained friends for long time, she heard that Jon had moved to Texas, but that’s when she had lost track of him.
However, she remembered Jon’s middle name, it was Maxwell.
With this new information, my wife did a search.
Well she didn’t find Jon, but she found his divorce papers, and his ex wife’s phone number.
My wife asked me if I wanted to speak with Jon’s ex wife?
At first I didn’t, but then I thought, it’s been 55 years looking for Jon, why not call her.
I called the number and a man answered.
He was Jon’s Ex Wife’s new husband and he couldn’t have been nicer.
I told him Jon and I were friends as teenagers, and I was trying to locate him.
He said he didn’t have Jon’s phone number, but he knew someone that would, and he gave me a phone number.
It was late on a  Sunday morning when I called the number.
No one answered, so I left a message, I said who I was, and that I was looking for Jon Bloom.
My wife and I then went shopping, leaving her I phone at home.
When we returned there was a message on it, someone had returned my call.
I called, it was Jon Bloom.
We talked a long time, Jon was living in Texas and had four sons, and yes he was “Off the Grid” no cell phone or computer.
Then Jon said something very strange.
He said every morning, when he woke up, he said a little prayer.
That very Sunday morning, in his prayer, he mentioned the name of two of his neighbors, and for some strange reason after 55 years had passed, in his prayer,  he had mentioned my name.
Jon has since come to visit us in Florida with two of his sons, and we now talk regularly.
